YOUNG PRIEST’S GATHERING, NAVSARI

The young and robust priests of Baroda Diocese gathered at Holy Cross Church, Navsari on 11th of August for a short gathering to strengthen their bond and fellowship as the young brigade of the diocese. Out of nine priests, eight of them from various missions managed to attend this beautiful occasion. Rev. Fr. Joel R. Pais, the VG of the Diocese along with his committee and special invitees organized various sessions for them.

Fr. Ambrose SJ conducted the afternoon session. He dealt with Interpersonal Relationships. The sub-topics conducted were purposeful relationships, relationships of affective bonding, mission/ministry relationships. He put forth various question which made the young priests think and look at them in the light of their own experience and come out with solutions.

Fr. Robert Machado lead them to work out ways by which they could create opportunities in a given mission. He said that opportunities will not be given as though in a plater but they needed to create them for their own growth and the good of the mission.

Fr. Sunil Monis OCD gave an input on ‘How’ & ‘Why’ about such Live-in groups. He spoke from his experience on how a live-in groups meeting should be and how to get the maximum benefit from it. He spoke from his experience and it was very enriching.

Bishop too had a long dialogue with the young priests. It was a beautiful occasion seeing the Father listening patiently to his sons. They shared their growth and mission experiences was well. Bishops loving presence was well appreciated by the group.
